A Little About AngieLynn

Some days I think there really isn't much to tell about myself.  I'm the mother of three children who are grown and on their own.  At the time of writing this I have two sons, ages 27 and 30, and a daughter aged 23.  I love my children and I'm very proud of them.  My oldest is a police officer, and my youngest joined the Army Reserves right out of high school.  My middle son has a heart of gold, but hasn't made the best decisions for himself.  He's paying a price for some of those decisions, but I have faith that he is turning his life around and will be the father I know he can be.

I have four wonderful grandchildren between the ages of 2 and 6.  One girl, three boys, and they are the light of my life.  For about 2 years the youngest one lived with us while his parent got their acts together.  I realized then that though I loved my grandson very much, I much preferred being a grandparent, as opposed to a parent.  I had already raised my children and was enjoying having time to spend with my husband, and time to spend on myself, but when life throws you lemons, you make lemonade.  Or at least that's what they tell me.

Recently, I was laid of from a job that I had enjoyed working for over fifteen years, thanks in large part to healthcare reform.  I won't get started on how that makes me feel, except to say that I am bitter.  I am an IT Analyst by trade, and I love programming, implementing systems and figuring out how to solve complex problems.

Since losing my job in July I've started reviewing products for sellers on Amazon, and I have to say I love it.  It such a thrill to get to try a new product and learn to use it, or compare it to another brand I have used in the past.  Every day at my house is like Christmas with all the deliveries.  My husband teases me that I must be having a fling with the UPS and FedEx drivers, but that is far from the case.  I love my husband too much to even consider something like that.

I am also an semi-professional photographer.  I love to take pictures of beautiful scenery, or the interesting sites, and I absolutely love taking pictures of children playing and having fun.  I've photographed a couple weddings, and done countless family portraits.  I really think I'm starting to refine my talent and plan on one day adding a photography section to this blog.  We shall see if I find time for that.

I really don't know what else to tell you about myself, but if you have a question or a suggestion on how I can make this site better, please feel free to email Contact Me link at the top of the page.  I will read all emails and take all suggestions into consideration.  Thanks for listening/reading.  I hope to see you around here a lot.
